Well, what can I say? We got there at about 8 o'clock so we missed the support band. But we got to see Muse, so that's good.
SOUND: 19/20
So fucking incredible. Their live sound is amazing. It's like someone takes everything that makes Muse, throws it into a big pot and mixes it all up, then changes the recipe every now and then. They use so many different effects and put so much into their songs, it's amazing.
SETLIST: 18/20
Hampered slightly by the leaving out of Megalomania, Feeling Good (although the intro tape did contain Nina Simone's version), this was still a fucking incredible setlist. First time I've ever seen them play The Small Print live, and they also did Micro Cuts, which I've never seen them do.
AESTHETICS: (looks, attitude etc) 20/20
Matt broke his first guitar before they were 5 songs in. \m/. The set contained much of Muse's random jams plus two new songs, which they played with an amazing amount of attitude, jumping around the stage and leading the crowd to sing. They certainly know how to entertain.
ENCORE: 19/20
Two. First one contained Time Is Running Out, Plug In Baby and Bliss, second one contained set staples Blackout and Stockholm Syndrome. Fucking incredible, and they play with such energy. They're never REALLY off the stage.
ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: 20/20
Leaves you feeling as if you can die happy. One of the greatest live bands ever.
OVERALL: 96/100
Only setback was the leaving out of some favourites. Most exhilarating live band EVER. See them. Now.
