This actually isn't a disease, it's an afflictment which is uncommon, actually quite rare affecting only 1 in every 10,000 people. I have it, it means I have an allergy to sunlight. I'm not joking, I'm on 3 different types of anti-histamine, plus steroid cream when it's bad in the summer. why me?

Because nobodies perfect, and because it's part of you, if it wasn't there you wouldn't be you.

That's not entirely true. Diseases/afflictions/conditions don't form part of a person's profile. If I wasn't overweight (which very soon I won't be) I would still be me, just thin. Ditto for other conditions.

it can't really be part of me as no-one knows about it really. my glasses, something which i've had since i was 5 and hardly anyone has seen me without them on, now they're a part of my character. my glasses i like and can't imagine not having, im waiting for the day that my SU disappears.
